60 SECOND INTERVIEW
60 SECOND INTERVIEW BOSS Today #56
BT: What value do you think BOSS
provides to the office supplies
industry?
AJ: The opportunities BOSS provides to
connect with others in our industry
is invaluable, through networking
events and specialist interest groups.
It is good to share experiences and
challenges, knowing that others
may also be experiencing these,
and to unite in finding solutions
that will have a positive effect on
our industry. Keeping talent within
the industry is really important,
too, and I think the Leaders of the
Future initiative is a valuable way for
our high performing, high potential
individuals to learn and work
alongside some of the great leaders
in our industry.
BT: How do you see your involvement
in BOSS developing over the next
two years?
AJ: Our Responsible Business strategy
defines our plans to help support and
develop young people and I would
like to be more involved with the
BOSS Leaders of the Future over the
coming years, both personally and as
a business.
BT: Tell us something else about
yourself that few others know.
AJ: As part of my role with TomTom, the
family and I lived in Holland for three
years. I had 18 months of Dutch
lessons and, while it’s only a little
bit better than my English speaking
(having grown up in the Welsh
Valleys), I can speak the language!!
