to St Paul’s Cathedral, but the
building was severely damaged
by bombing during World War
Two. This led to another move: to
Hanson Street, close to the original
address.
Stan Pratley joined the
company as a typesetter in August
1966, three months before another
relocation, to King’s Lynn in Norfolk.
From here, the business expanded
into a geographically based group
of manufacturing operations by the
late 1980s. In 1999, the company
was sold to a Dutch rubber stamp
manufacturer who closed all the
regional offices to concentrate
production into one large centrally
based operation in Birmingham
City Centre.
Present Day:
Stan Pratley and Kiran Mistry
bought the business in July 2002.
As an independent company,
WJC are pleased to offer all brand-
leading products used in the stamp
industry. New integrated network
systems allow the business to
operate with a smaller, flexible
team, who continually strive to
provide customers with the best
quality of service.
